Last week the school had their UROCK Day. This is where children who had earned enough vouchers were allowed to have a block of hard earned fun. This term the Kahikatea team had a masquerade ball and had to create their masks to go. We also had some good old fashioned party games like pass the parcel and the ballon stomp. Here some pics and video of the day.

In Ruma Ono we try to bake/ cook at least once a week. As well as being fun and yum it is also teaching us lots of great things along the way from maths through to our U-ROCK skills. So far we have made corn fritters, pikelets and bread.
This is our bread recipe if you wold like to try at home.
1 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
3 cups flour
1 cup water
2 tbsp water

Great start to the season!!!
Well done to both of our school basketball teams who played really well for the first game of the season. A big ooh rah to my team the Somerset Slammers who won 34-4 against Russell St. You all played extremely well and with a U ROCK attitude, which and the end of the day matters the most and what really makes you winners!!!!!!!!!
